Toxic Metals Testing
Urine toxic analysis is an invaluable tool for the assessment of retention of toxic metals in the body. Toxic metals do not have any useful physiological function, adversely affect virtually every organ system and disrupt the balance of nutrient elements.
Urine Elements are traditionally used to evaluate exposure to potentially toxic elements and wasting of nutrient elements. Additionally, the comparison of urine element concentrations before and after administration of a chelator (an agent responsible for removing certain heavy metals from the bloodstream) can be used to estimate net retention of potentially toxic elements. Subsequent urine element analyses, also following the administration of a chelator, are useful for monitoring the desired result of metal detoxification therapy.

"LEAKY GUT" TEST
The Intestinal Permeability Assessment is an effective and non-invasive assessment of small intestinal absorption and barrier function in the bowel. This test analyzes urine for the clearance of two non-metabolized sugars, lactulose and mannitol, identifying intestinal permeability (“leaky gut”) and poor absorption. Both poor absorption and increased leaky gut are associated with chronic gastrointestinal imbalances, as well as many general disorders.
